    Housing Information 
    Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) gives active service members two options for housing; living on post or finding a home off-post within the community.

    • Once you receive orders to move, contact The Housing Service Center (800) 876-7022. They can answer all of your housing questions and provide services such as referrals, resolving tenant-landlord disputes, and guidance for entering lease agreements.

    NB Kitsap-Bremerton On Base Housing

    • The Unaccompanied Housing Services (360) 824-3337 can assist single service members with room assignment for this installation. 

    • NB Kitsap-Bangor on-base housing is privatized and provided by Hunt Military - Pacific Northwest Communities (360) 598-5831, which offers 3-4 bedroom homes based on rank and family size. Community amenities include waterfront parks, and access to more than 300 miles of shoreline beaches.

    Bremerton has about 38,000 residents and is real estate is generally more affordable, on average, than the rest of Kitsap County. It is located on the eastern side of Kitsap Peninsula which is in the Puget Sound between the Olympic Peninsula and the mainland of Washington. Cities nearby include Port Orchard, Manchester, Bethel, Chico, Silverdale, Bangor, and Seabeck. Port Orchard and Silverdale are the largest of these towns, with 11,000 and 19,000 residents, respectively, and the others are relatively small communities.
